As superintendent, Dr. Koch is the chief executive officer in charge of educational and business functions. Dr. Koch oversees the administration, development, and maintenance of a positive educational program designed to meet the needs of every student. In addition, Dr. Koch is responsible for carrying out policies of the school board and making recommendations regarding policy changes.
Dr. Koch has more than twenty years of experience in education, serving as a special education teacher, assistant principal, and director of pupil services. He earned his doctorate in educational leadership and service from Cardinal Stritch University and holds a master’s degree in special education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Angela LittleDirector of Student LearningThe director of student learning drives the development of the district's curriculum and instructional practices for all grades and subject areas. Mrs. Little works collaboratively with other administrators and teacher-leaders on the Content Area Teams (CATs) to research materials, align instruction to academic standards, and ensure proper assessment of student learning. Other areas within the student learning department include mentoring of new staff, teacher professional development, and setting goals that further the district mission of ensuring college and career readiness for all students. She also coordinates the review of curricular programs to promote a culture of continuous improvement at all levels and the use of best instructional practices.
Mrs. Little holds a masters degree in educational leadership from Cardinal Stritch University. She is certified as an elementary teacher, principal, and director of instruction. Her undergraduate degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison was in elementary education, with a minor in German. She has previously served as an elementary teacher for seven years and a principal for twenty years.

Ben KossowCoordinator of Data, Assessment and Extended LearningAs district assessment coordinator, Mr. Kossow facilitates and coordinates the implementation and administration of state and local student assessments. He reviewsw assessment results and communicates assessment progress, needs, and changes to key stakeholders in the district. Mr. Kossow works with administrators and teachers to integrate formative assessment practices and ensure that multiple assessment measures are included in the district's multi-tiered system of supports and interventions. In addition, Mr. Kossow coordinates and manages district communication systems, including the website, the Triad, internal and external newsletters, and news releases, and directs all district summer programming.
Mr. Kossow holds a master's degree in educational policy and leadership from Marquette University and completed additional graduate coursework at Concordia University. He is certified as an elementary teacher, principal, and director of instruction. In addition, he holds degrees in elementary education and social sciences from Marquette University. Previously, Mr. Kossow has worked as an elementary teacher, gifted and talented coordinator, assistant principal, and principal.

Dustin LehmanCoordinator of College and Career ReadinessAs coordinator of college and career readiness, Mr. Lehman drives the development and implementation of MASD's Academic and Career Planning process and oversees the district Career and Technical Education (CTE) departments. Mr. Lehman also serves as the school-to-work coordinator for the district. He works collaboratively with administrators, teachers, students, and local business and industry to ensure Mukwonago students are graduating with the skills and desire to be college and career ready.
Mr. Lehman holds a master's degree in educational leadership from Cardinal Stritch University with additional graduate work in career and technical education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. His undergraduate work was in technology eEducation from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He is certified as a director of instruction, school principal, and career and technical education coordinator. He has previously worked as a middle and high school technology and engineering teacher in both Wisconsin and Indiana.

Michelle ZieglerAssistant Director of Student LearningThe coordinator of elementary education works collaboratively with the director of student learning to drive the development of the district's curriculum and instructional practices for grades K-6. Mrs. Ziegler works to align instruction to academic standards and to ensure that students are assessed in ways that drive instructional practices in the classroom. She also works closely with teachers, interventionists, instructional coaches, and Advanced Learning Placement teachers to ensure that all students' learning needs are being met.
Mrs. Ziegler earned her master's degree with the reading teacher license from Carroll University. She holds a reading specialist license from Viterbo University Her undergraduate degree was in elementary education with minors in English and math from Carroll University. She is currently working on her director of instruction and principal licenses through Carroll University as well. She served as a middle school language arts and social studies teacher for 11 years in Delavan before teaching for two years as a fifth grade teacher at Rolling Hills. She later became the Rolling Hills' reading specialist and instructional coach for six years before heading to district office to serve as the district's coordinator of elementary education.

Christine BowdenDirector of Student ServicesThe director of student services oversees the development and administration of all specialized student services, including special education, social work, school psychology, itinerant services, alternate placements, English language learners, nursing services, school counseling, and homeless services. Mrs. Bowden ensures the proper identification of students in need of services, including assessment of students and creation of individualized education plans.
Mrs. Bowden obtained her bachelor's degree in special education from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. During her last 20 years in education, Mrs. Bowden has completed two additional master degree programs in alternative education and educational leadership as well as licenses as a director of student services and in special education. She has spent 16 years serving as a special education teacher and the four years as an associate principal. Mrs. Bowden has K-12 experience in the classroom.

Mrs. Dobner earned a bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a master's degree in school social work from Loyola University. She then continued her education earning a director of special education/pupil services license from Cardinal Stritch University. Prior to her role as secondary program support coordinator, she worked as a school social worker and assistant director of pupil services. She also has additional experience working with at risk youth and their families in conjunction with the juvenile justice system.

Jennifer TheisenElementary Program Support CoordinatorMrs. Theisen serves as Elementary Program Support Coordinator for the district, serving as a liaison and support for special education and general education teachers and administrators. Her primary responsibility is to assist with the effective implementation of plans to meet student needs in the least restrictive environment.
Mrs. Theisen earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and a Master of Science Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Additionally, she completed graduate level coursework through the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to become an Assistive Technology Specialist. Mrs. Theisen is currently completing coursework through the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in the area of Director of Special Education and Pupil Services. She holds a Speech/Language Pathology license, an Assistive Technology license, and will receive her Director of Pupil Services license in June, 2024. Prior to her role as Program Support Coordinator, Mrs. Theisen was a Speech/Language Pathologist for twenty-one years, an Assistive Technology Specialist for nine years, and a special education chairperson for one year. She has experience working with PreK-12 students.

Rachel HermannAssistant Superintendent & Chief Human Resources OfficerAs the Director of Human Resources, Mrs. Hermann manages the hiring, recruitment, and retention of district staff. In addition, Mrs. Hermann oversees benefits and compensation related topics and ensures that the district is in compliance with relevant district policies and state and federal employment laws.
Mrs. Hermann holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in secondary education and English. She is certified as a director of instructor, school principal, and as an English and alternative education teacher. Mrs. Hermann has previously worked as a middle and high school teacher, secondary literacy coordinator, principal, and director of secondary learning.

Tom KarthausserChief Financial OfficerThe director of business services is responsible for the district's business functions which include budgeting, financial reporting and analysis, cash management, payroll, employee benefits, purchasing and accounting. Mr. Karthausser also oversees the following departments: food service, buildings and grounds, student transportation, and district technology.
Mr. Karthausser holds a master's degree in education through the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and has experience as an actuary, data analyst, and school business administrator.

Kelly KovneskyI.T. DirectorAs the I.T. Director, Mrs. Kovnesky manages instructional & operational technology (IT) department staff and oversees all district network systems and services. She works directly with technology partners who support and maintain all critical aspects of the network's infrastructure, backup and disaster recovery, voice, Internet, wireless, and security technologies. Her team is led by Eric Kirch, the Technical Operations Manager and their priorities include improving and maintaining existing systems critical to the teaching and learning process. Her department also handles all operational aspects of hardware/software deployments, supports the I.T. Academy program, and manages the S.H.I.E.L.D. student helpdesk which is directly responsible for servicing our MHS 1:1 TPP program participants. Mrs. Kovnesky ensures I.T. staff are committed to bringing new technologies to the classroom to for all end users.
Mrs. Kovnesky holds Web Master and IT Leadership certificates through the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Continuing Education. She also has 18 years of management, 23 years in the district, and 30+ years of experience in the field.

Andy WegnerOperations Manager of Buildings and GroundsAs the operations manager of buildings and grounds, Mr. Wegner manages over 50 maintenance and custodial staff. Mr. Wegner also manages 9 buildings that are close to 1,000,000 square feet of buildings and over 180 acres of land. Mr. Wegner is the head of the district safety committee.
Mr. Wegner joined Mukwonago Area School District in August 2012 after working for 23 years in the greenhouse industry. Mr. Wegner also has served his community as a member of the Mukwonago Fire department since 1992 and holds the rank of Assistant Chief of the department. Prior to serving as the Operations Manager of Buildings & Grounds, Mr. Wegner was Building Manager at Big Bend Elementary, where he was a finalist for the Cintas Janitor of the Year in 2017. Mr. Wegner attended MASD for his entire K-12 education.
